Saturday Sunset

Storm clouds headed this way and the clouds were piling deeper and deeper as the day progressed. Towards sunset, the winds calmed down and the bay turned to glass.

The birds on the bay were more interested in eating than their eye candy surroundings.

Just before the colors faded to gray.

Supposed to get up to a half inch of rain starting tomorrow night. Sure am looking forward to it. After a good rain, everything looks so refreshingly clean and ready for what comes next.

Am trying to figure out when I can head up to the Seattle area for some way overdue sight seeing. Is starting to look like September will have to be the month -- already have plans in October (including my birthday) and by November, I'll be running into the risks that winter travel brings.

Gonna take some planning.

I'm feeling good about the foreclosure I'm doing. It's possible the bank will write off the 235K. One gal said they would when I asked why they would hire a realtor, auctioneer, appraiser and title folks to make a short sale. I said that that made no sense to me. (Or anyone else with a brain!)

They'd be selling my place to someone else, but would lose $50K in the process, rather than just reduce the principle...

  4. feeling good about it is what matters. i sold my place for a loss but i got out from under it -- which was my goal. i hope they do the write off but if they don't, you've already made up your mind to walk -- a win win for you either way.

Yep. It's a real sense of financial freedom, as you experienced, but also POWER! The banksters wouldn't talk to me during 14 months of work on a loan mod. Now they're calling me and making offers...

There must be a way (but don't ask me!!) to verify a regular commenter as legit. We know FDL does.

i think i'm gonna need a week just to see everyone i wanna see.
