Sunday Sunset

Been a while since I've had a sunset -- today the drought sorta ended. Had some sun today, not a lot, but enough to give me hope that the clouds would be held at bay long enough for some color at sunset instead of the usual gray that's been so prevalent lately.

As the sun was dipping below the clouds, the clouds deepened and closed off any further color. No actual sunset but it sure was pretty. Within a few minutes of taking this last shot, the gray was back.

  2. thanks dana -- i had such high hopes for the sunset -- looked like it was building up some fantastic color -- that orange is so vibrant -- and then *whamo* back to gray.

  6. thanks silver fox -- its not a lake -- tis netarts bay on the oregon coast, just south of tillamook bay, looking across to the spit. tis very placid and when it gets mirror like, it sure does look like a lake.

  9. Hmm... I guess I *knew* that from earlier posts, but then this one looked almost exactly like "my" lake. Oops.

My grandparents used to like at Garibaldi - so maybe it just looks familiar in general.
