Sorry for the lack of posts -- its been a busy forking week -- saw this and had to share it with ya:

Jen let me know that the baby is now Baby Turnip:

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Her baby bump is getting bigger as Baby Turnip grows:

  1. I second the busy forking week motion. All in favor of blissful boredom, say aye!

Can't believe Jen's so far along already. 9 months seems like a long time until you realize just how much developing has to go on before we get a baby! Glad she's doing well!

  2. hey dana -- on thanksgiving, she will be 20 weeks -- the halfway mark :)

    to blissful boredom *clink clink*

  3. Wow, this week wasn't only busy, it was loooong! That so rarely happens, the busy and the lengthy together. Not caring about whether it's the weekend, I kept wondering, "Is it Friday yet?" And still, it wasn't!

  4. hey teddy -- it was looooong -- sure was looking forward to my nights off. alas, the weekend is almost over and my work week starts again tomorrow.

turnip is changing jen's baby bump into obviously preggers!
