Jen let me know that the baby is now Baby Turnip:

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Her baby bump is getting bigger as Baby Turnip grows:

  1. I second the busy forking week motion. All in favor of blissful boredom, say aye!

Can't believe Jen's so far along already. 9 months seems like a long time until you realize just how much developing has to go on before we get a baby! Glad she's doing well!

  3. Wow, this week wasn't only busy, it was loooong! That so rarely happens, the busy and the lengthy together. Not caring about whether it's the weekend, I kept wondering, "Is it Friday yet?" And still, it wasn't!

    Turnip!
