TWOTON GREEN BLOG... a twist on the way I would say my name as a small child, TwoTon Green Book. This, however, is a blog and not a book.

Eagle Washing
This afternoon, I had the good fortune of watching this eagle wash up in the creek. The eagle landed at the junction of the creek and the bay as the tide was coming in and pushing against the creek water flowing into the bay.
Love having eagles for neighbors. As always, click on the pictures to make them bigger.

ZOMG how cute! I mean, majestic! I don't know why bathing birds are so adorable, but they are. You're so lucky!
ReplyDeleteSome people say good fences make good neighbors, but I've always found them rather wooden (thank you, I'll be here all night). Screw fences. Give me a bald eagle for a neighbor any day!
hey dana -- cute *and* majestic! i see them flying around and perched on trees but tis rare to see one bathing. when i do, it is always in this same spot as the tide rises into the creek. tis way cool to watch and much better than looking at just another building as i used to do living in a city.
ReplyDeleteawesome pictures Suz!
