TWOTON GREEN BLOG... a twist on the way I would say my name as a small child, TwoTon Green Book. This, however, is a blog and not a book.

Speechifying
This is how to give a political speech -- former Gov. Jennifer Granholm, D-Michigan at the DNC 2012 tonight. If only all politician were this good at speechifying.
slow but hopefully steady improvement. still using a cane but can walk a 5 block round trip now using the cane. of course, there are times after i've done that walk that the knee feels unstable and i've had to put back on the brace.
when i saw the doc in june they told me that would happen and to use the brace. leg is being used a lot more than it was so its expected that it would get grumpy. still gets real stiff if i sit or stay in any one position for any length of time.
pt told me it could easily take a year to fully recover - and i don't think they were talking a year from the break but from when i was finally able to start weight bearing.
how's your knee doing? big dog sure looked and sounded good -- and made me realize that for all his shortcomings, at least he was a fighter *sigh*
I'm starting to think it's as good as it's gonna get. Trying to introduce some jogging into the walk routine. I'm kinda getting used to the pain, but I'd guess I'm about 70%.
Carville and Begala had the right idea: if you get hit, hit back immediately and twice as hard.
i'm nowhere near ready to even think about jogging *laughing* hell, 5 blocks of walking is about as fast and far as i can do but hey, its a whole lot better than life in that blasted hospital bed.
Kick ass, Jen!
ReplyDeleteActually, not that anonymous. (Emerson-Hi Suz.)
