The day I got him:

... and mini s'mores
Token turned 4 today. We celebrated with tbone (I had the steak, he got the bones). He chowed down on his bone for a solid hour and is now sleeping it off on a down comforter on the sofa.
TWOTON GREEN BLOG... a twist on the way I would say my name as a small child, TwoTon Green Book. This, however, is a blog and not a book.

The Sun Peaks Out
The sun peaked out from behind the clouds just before sunset tonight - and was well worth the wait.
Baby girl has an ear infection and a sinus infection - she's on several prescription meds and is to call the doctor if not feeling better by Monday. Token went to the doggy beauty shop today and is, once again, the cutest dog evah. He had gotten very shaggy looking and his white eyebrows and the rest of his face was hidden by his overgrown bangs. He smells good and looks good and is strutting about the place as if it was a runway at some fancy fashion show. The groomer sent him home wearing a red bandana with little paw prints on it. He was not real cooperative for the pictures I took when we got home but the groomer said he was very well behaved and sweet.
Had a wee bit of snow last night but not enough to photograph. It melted away fairly quickly this morning. Had off and on raiin showers and/or hail today but the skies are clearing to the west and the weather dood is forecasting a partly sunny day Friday. Woohoo!

Snow?
Weather dood said we could get up to one inch of snow on the beaches at the coast from Tillamook north into southern Washington state. The wind is blowing and forking c-c-cold. Tillamook south should get snow/rain mix changing to rain the further south one goes.
Baby girl is feeling worse so I called around and she has a doctor appointment in Tillamook tomorrow morning at 11:30. Weather dood said that there should be no new snow after 10am - fingers and toes crossed the weather dood is correct.

Blue Morning
Woke up to a gorgeous morning today. Bright blue skies reflected in the calm waters of the bay. Shortly after I took these, a breeze whipped up ripples on the bay.
Tis 56 and the temp is still rising. Weather dood said warmer and still dry until Sunday when we are forecast to get some much needed rain.
I have the windows and doors open and am watching the birds line up on the bay as the tide starts to go out. Baby Girl is driving up to Astoria today just because. We picked up seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Lost on dvd yesterday and I'm catching up - I only started watching it last year when Baby Girl was out for Jen's wedding and forced me to watch the season finale. I'm hooked and the girls refuse to help me anymore - telling me to get the dvd's and watch it for myself.
UPDATE: Baby girl had a lovely drive and we are up to disc 3 of season 1.

Valentine's Sunset
Eye candy provided for Valentine's Day, courtesy of Mother Nature. Twas worth waiting for the rain to stop. Weather seems to be warming up a little bit each day. Got up to 60 today.
Stephanie seems to be adjusting well to Oregon. She took my camera and went exploring this afternoon, taking pictures of Netarts Bay, Oceanside, the crashing surf, etc. She has quite an eye and took some lovely pictures she loaded onto her laptop.

Baby Girl's In Oregon
Stephanie crossed the California-Oregon border after getting stuck in the Redding area for a couple of hours. CHP had a chain check station that created a backup that led to vehicles breaking down (she was behind one truck that was stalled in the lane with no flashers for what must have been almost an hour). She eventually passed through the chain station (yes officer, I have chains in the car) and has had smooth sailing since.
She is gonna stay the night in Beaverton with her sister, Jen the bride, due to icy roads coming over the Coast Range. The weather forecast for tomorrow is warmer but tonight it will get down into the 20's. Brrrr.
The eye candy is tonight's sunset, complete with birds on the bay.
UPDATE 7:50PM: Steph is passing through Salem and will be at her sister's within the next hour!!! Woohoo!!!
UPDATE 8:30PM: Steph arrived at Jen's!!!

Baby girl leaves San Jose and heads up here tomorrow. Waiting is making me somewhat ... well, you know (laughing).

Another Stormy Monday
Another stormy Monday here. Woke up to snow on the cape which stayed all day. News shows were talking about the snowfall on the beaches but the snow had melted by the time I got up. Stayed in the high 30's for most of the day but did get up to 42 (for about 5 minutes).
Steph's trip is delayed for a few days waiting for this series of storms to pass. She should be up here by the end of the week.
Some Eva Cassidy doing Stormy Monday seemed perfect for today - and bonus points for the lovely eye candy in the video.

Clouds Then Sun
Had clouds all day today. Had some drizzle last nite but not really anything measurable at the peaceful retreat on the bay. The sun peaked out just before sunset, giving me some Friday night eye candy.
Baby girl is almost in the San Jose area. She left Palm Springs today and is headed north for the weekend. She ran into some heavy rain just as she was getting off 5 onto Pacecho Pass but it stopped as soon as she got in the rain shadow of the mountain. She's making good time and is getting excited about seeing everyone again.
