Toon Tuesday: The Cat Who Hated People

The Cat Who Hated People, for my pal Busted who just acquired one.

He's also the dood who tagged me last week (or was it week before) but I've been too blasted busy to smack tag him back.

Mary Chapin Carpenter (and friends) with I Feel Lucky. I'm trying to change my born under a bad sign attitude. Fingers and toes crossed that thinking positive forking works.

Texas Flood

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at Rockpalast (Germany) with Texas Flood.

SRV was dang near plucking out his guitar strings in this concert. I wonder if it was his first tour after being boo'd at Montreux? Looks like he rearranged his guitar strap from Texas Flood and dove into one of my favorite SRV songs - Things That I Used To Do - not sure why the camera does that long cut away to the eye candy of the area around the concert - better eye candy on the stage.

Cry, Baby

Janis Joplin, on tour in Canada, 1970, giving her all to Cry, Baby.

Came back from being gone during the open house - found there were 4 sets of visitors - maybe one maybe sorta kinda interested (but with a lot of if's and buts) and the rest lookie-loo's. The counter offer to the engineer was rejected and that is now officially dead.

Oh yeah, my water heater is leaking - after I just paid $822 to the feds for taxes. Cry, Baby.

Stranger In My House

Tamia with Stranger In My House.

Hopefully, there will be a lot of strangers in my house at today's Open House.

Friday 420

Gotta love KPIG radio. To start off today's 4pm hour, they played an extended 420 moment set list, starting with:

Guy Clark - Worry Be Gone

and followed by:

Bob Dylan - Rainy Day Women #12 & 35

after which, was, of course:

Ryan Bingham - Dollar a Day.

There is no utube for Jimmy Buffett's Reggae Accident nor is there one for The Toys (Hey Uncle Sam) Leave Us Pot Smokers Alone which were the last two songs in today's Friday moment. The 420 daily affirmation ended with a Paul Harvey clip about the power of the bong. Can ya tell it is a Santa Cruz area radio station? (laughing)

I'm glad KPIG is available online so I can still listen after the move. I hear the UC students are planning a huge 420 moment on Sunday 4/20 - I'm imagining an entire hour of songs similar to the playlist for today's daily 420 moment. Sunday is another open house so I'm gonna have to be driving around listening instead of blasting my speakers at home.

Mellow Down Easy

Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers with Mellow Down Easy.

I survived shopping and am now the proud owner of the perfect Mother Of The Bride dress and a pair of sexy silver strappy high heels. The accessories have been determined and there was no need for foundation undergarments (whew). I'm pretty mellow down easy back at the little cottage by the creek in the redwoods.

Gone Shopping

Am not here - have gone shopping with the bride to be to find the perfect mother of the bride dress to wear to the wedding. And shoes. And accessories. Lard love a duck, I hope this does not call for foundation garments (laughing)

Be back in time for Sunday Late Nite at FireDogLake. I've got the Late Late Nite post this week.

Wild Thing

More Sam:

Wild Thing as only Sam Kinison can do it. Looks like a lot of band members took him up on his offer to do this video with the infamous lady.

Pride And Joy

Stevie Ray Vaughan live at Montreux with Pride And Joy. This was the 1985 tour - not the 1982 tour where he was booed (and also won a Grammy for the CD of that show).
